Forest haven children's developmental center

Forest Haven first opened in 1925 to treat disabled and “feeble-minded” children. At the time it was billed as a state-of-the-art facility, but over time this condition changed. Decades later many patients filed lawsuits against the institution citing neglect, abuse, or poor medical conditions.
